Baldwin City, Kansas, April 6, 2012 - McFarlane Aviation Products now offers an aircraft wheel balancer as the latest addition to its line of precision aircraft tools. Using the same suspension balancing method that is used for helicopter rotors, this patent-pending design features a pivot point that is easily adjustable on-the-fly for maximum balance sensitivity. 
The horizontal balancing orientation allows test weights to be temporarily set in place without taping, and easily adjusted while balancing.  “It’s really fast and easy” said Dave McFarlane.  “You adjust the piston in or out to set the pivot point just above the wheel CG, then add test weights until the support cable is centered in the indication hole”.
The precision McFarlane design is machined with a black, hard anodized finished and comes in an oiled wooden case.  Also included are bushings to accommodate both 1 ¼” and 1 ½” axle sizes.  This lifetime tool fits almost all light aircraft wheel/tire assemblies, and is small enough to fit in a tool box, and doesn’t require a bulky stand.
