Re: Short Wing roll call

I have a 52 PA22-20 with a 150 lyc and a CS prop.  It's a lot of fun.

Re: Short Wing roll call

Hi T.  I used Great Lakes Aero when I replaced the windows in my Arrow.  Good windows.  Looks like they just added the PA22 line.

Re: Short Wing roll call

Any of the PA14-22 series certified for spins and/or mild aerobatics? I tried to do some research on my own but came up empty. Also, I saw a Tripacer for sale with 10gal of aux, fuel. Anybody know if there's an STC?

Re: Short Wing roll call

Per the PA-22 TCDS,

The following placards must be displayed on the instrument panel in full view of the pilot:
(a) "This airplane must be operated as a Normal or Utility Category airplane in accordance wìth the Limitations in the CAA Approved Airplane Flight Manual. Airplane marked and placarded for Normal Category. No acrobatics including spins approved in Normal Category. No acrobatics approved for Utility Category except those listed in Airplane Flight Manual."

(b) "No Smoking."

(c) "Right tank should be used in level flight only."

As far as the 10 gallon aux tank for the Tripacer, I reviewed the STC listings for the PA-22 Models and came up empty, there are a lot of STC's for larger wing tanks. I would bet this was a field approved install.
