I am a new member because I am contemplating buying the above. I would appreciate any input on this plane. I am doing as much research as possible to determine if this model would be a good choice.
Specifically, I am in Nashville, and wonder if anyone knows of any instructors with time in type, and which are the best shops to work on this plane.
Thanks for your help.

  • I did aircraft appraisals for about 10 years. What drives the value is the time on the engine (including calendar time) and the avionics. This is assuming the airplane is in good condition. I would suggest a pre-buy from a reputable shop that is experienced in Pipers.

  • Hey Austin, thanks. I had already decided to get Savvy (Mike Busch) handle arranging the pre-buy. I am wondering if there is anyone close to me for annuals, repairs, etc. that has experience with Comanches.

  • I'm an A&P and IA but I live in Phoenix.

  • Our association A&P, Erich Rempert is at KBUU, Burlington Wisconsin, if that helps.

Any CFI (CFII) you know of who have time in type?
