0360 case cracks

I have found a crack in my 0360 case pilot side above the alternator aand is leaking oil. Is there an external fix or is it a major undertaking?

    Sounds serious, don't want flammable liquids leaking under the cowl. I'd get an on-site evaluation from a qualified shop. The fix may not be as bad as one may imagine. If the engine is old & tired with upper hours, maybe it's time for more extensive work.
