Strut pressure for PA-28-181???

Recently I purchased a 1978 Archer II, an absolutely love it...I am a 50 year old rookie with 70 hours and a first time owner. I am getting all kinds of advice from non-piper owners on how my plane sits. My POH says that the nose strut should be 4.5 Inches showing. Since I have have Wheel pants I can's see the main gear Struts, but three bolts show on the inside. Help??? I have no idea. Stuart64

  • I have Speedpants on my Piper Warrior. When struts are fully deflated, I measure 4.5 inches from bottom of the wing to top of the Speedpants. I add 4.5 inches to that and inflate to 9 inches from bottom of the wing to top of the wheel pants. That should be close.
  • Thank you appreciate the help... it appears that my speed pants match yours in the pic.
