CHEROKEE SIX 300 AIRCRAFT PURCHASE

Good morning folks. I'm traveling to Arkansas tomorrow to check out a '67 Six 300 that I'm under contract to purchase. I will be a first time aircraft owner and I have minimal experience (PPL 15 years ago and getting back into flying now). Any tips/advice on things to look for on this aircraft tomorrow would be much appreciated. Below is a link to the plane listing.

Thanks,
Britt

  • Hi, three words... corrosion corrosion corrosion. If it doesn't have any go for it (other things being acceptable). Note: All planes have a bit of surface corrosion, that's okay. Check under the rear seats near the tunnel for the control cables. I found corrosion there and it cost $8,000 to fix. Good luck!
