Stalls

Hello all,

I am a new Piper owner, I have flown my PA-28-160 around seven times since I got her but I mostly go up with my CFI. I am upgrading some items on the A/C before I go do my PPL check ride. One thing I have not done a lot of is stalls; I have done lots of them in a Cessna but not in my Piper. The man I got the aircraft from told me to never do power on turning stalls, I have seen no note of this in the POH can someone tell me if this is correct information.

  • Regarding turning stalls, I am unsure why the previous owner would say something like that. I have seen wings attached differently, meaning the angle of incidence's where not the same, therefore any stall may be sporty. Now, if you refer to the ppl pts, area of operation viii, slow flight, stall section, you'll notice that a power on stall can be asked to demonstrate with up yo 10 degrees aob.
