I thought I remembered what that light was for…but

Does anyone have an orange annunciator light with “push to test” engraved on it just to the right of the lower CDI and to the left of the radio stack? I have one in the archer, but it’s not labeled and my A&P says it should be. I think it may have been part of the “Piperaire” system that was yanked long ago. Please advise if anyone has one as well and what the dang thing is for.

  • You are correct, it is telling you the AC door is open.

I still have the light but the compressor is gone and the door is sealed shut on my 73 Arrow.

  • That’s what I was hoping. A perfect location for a Nav light/ADS-B Tailbeacon switch!

  • I thought an ejection seat activation switch, but you do you, I will go over here with the rest of the crazies.
